OUR FAMILY

My husband’s name is Lange; he works for Sacramento County in the Construction Management Department, he is very handy, funny and has a big heart. We have three sons, Asher, Hartlan and Rowan. Our boys are funny, active and love to be outside. Our dog’s name is Wally (shih tzu breed); he mostly does not join us at school, he is very loving, calm and doesn’t shed. We also have chickens that stay in their run/coop in the backyard and provide us with the most delicious eggs. 

 

OUR HOME

We live in Fair Oaks, and are located near the main intersection of Madison and Hazel, close to Highway 50. Our home was built in the 50’s, has been lovingly updated by us and is on a lot that is about a third of an acre. We are fortunate to live in the city, and have a beautiful backyard with a lot of grass and a beautiful mature pecan tree that provides ample shade in the summer. We have dedicated space indoors for our classroom, but spend most days outdoors learning and playing.

As a parent, I believe a description of my qualifications is helpful to understand the big picture of what I offer at Bloom & Grow. I have been fortunate to have an abundance of education, experience and professional learning in my career that brought my vision of creative developmentally appropriate early learning to life. 

 

EDUCATION

I attended California State University (CSU), Chico and CSU, Sacramento where I received my Masters Degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Theory and Research.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

I have had a passionate and fulfilling career for more than 14 years in the profession of Early Learning. I was a teacher for private and state-funded early learning programs, a coach of teachers, directors and family childcare owners, and a manager of a program that works to improve the quality of early learning throughout Sacramento County.

 

Bringing a child into this world prompted me to reevaluate my career goals, which lead me to the decision to establish Bloom & Grow Playful Early Learning. My vision is to create a place where children can experience the many joys of life through an engaging and creative developmentally appropriate learning environment.
